Disability empowerment for Yale (DEFY) has completed its Disability @ Yale Survival Guide in time for incoming first year class of 2023! The project was spearheaded by former member and Vice President of DEFY, Rose Bender, in collaboration with our current President, Paige Lawrence. DEFY members proposed the idea in early 2019 and drew on all members of the group to create a comprehensive and inclusive picture of the resources available to Yale students. The guide includes everything from how to access testing accommodations to the challenges of navigating parties and fraternities. The resource seeks to inform students with a wide array of disability related needs including physical, mental, chronic, and temporary.
