Conversation with State Senator Ted Kennedy

Disability Empowerment for Yale is proud to be hosting State Senator Ted Kennedy Jr. in partnership with the Yale College Democrats. Kennedy is an alumnus of the Yale School of Forestry, Senate Chair of the Environmental Committee, and the Majority Whip of the Connecticut State Senate. He is a health policy expert and a leading voice for disability rights, having served on President Reagan’s Committee on the Employment of People with Disabilities and worked with a bipartisan coalition of organizations in fighting for the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Senator Kennedy has also served on the boards of numerous cancer and disability organizations, including the American Association of People with Disabilities.
